Nezavel escaped from Garlemald at the age of 53. He then traveled to Eorzea to escape from his captors, and was found by the Eternals, who treated him very differently from Garleans, offering a job as manservant of the Free Company House.

The Garlean

As a child, he was kidnapped from the forests on the high peaks of Skatay Range by the Garlean Empire, that heard about Viera versatility and adaptability. They had, then, instructed him as part of the army.

Since the time he escaped, Nezavel have had a plethora of travels, the last of them bringing him to a certain café, like moth to light, as if some kind of magnetic energy pulled him inside.
